Vermont Proposes Amendment to Chemicals of High Concern in Children’s Product Rule
Nov. 7 2019
The state of Vermont requires manufacturers of children’s products that contain chemicals on their List of Chemicals of High Concern to Children (CHCC) to disclose and annually report the listed chemicals to the Department of Health (DOH).
On October 30, 2019, the DOH posted a proposed rule that expands the definition of formaldehyde to include “formaldehyde donors”, which are the substances that are intentionally added to a product to degrade to and release formaldehyde as a preservative.
Comments may be submitted to the agency by December 11, 2019.
