TOY & JUVENILE PRODUCTS TESTING
One-Stop Solution GCTS Certification for Toys
YOUR CHALLENGE
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is a political and economic union of Arab States including the United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, State of Kuwait, Kingdom of Bahrain, Sultanate of Oman, State of Qatar, and the Republic of Yemen. Under the GCC Technical Regulation: BD09100501 for general products requirements and BD-131704-01 for Children Toys, manufacturers must ensure all toys placed on GCC members’ markets are affixed with the GSO Conformity Tracking Symbol (GCTS) which represents conformity to the GSO Toys Technical Regulation (GTTR).
For products covered by certificates issued before May 1st, 2019 the previous configuration of the GCTS for products, i.e. including the Notified Body Identification number can still be used on newly manufactured products until:
• The expiry date of the certificate if expiry date > December 31, 2020
• December 31, 2020, if expiry date ≤ December 31, 2020
For any remaining stock of products manufactured before these dates, the Economic Operator may continue to place the products on the market provided the goods conform to the GTTR. The following renewal after the expiry date and considering the above condition, updating the GCTS to the new configuration on any newly manufactured products is mandatory.
