Thailand NBTC notification for Radio-communication importer/distributor per Radiocommunication Act B.E.2498

On March 6, 2019 Thailand NBTC issued a notice to local importer/distributor regarding the labeling notice for users of Radio communication equipment, per Radio Communication act B.E.2498.  

Notification date/effective date: 6 March 2019

This notification is directed to all the companies (importers/distributors) who sell radio-communication equipment in Thailand. 

There are 2 types of labeling notice: 
1. A label notice for equipment which required user license (e.g. UHF product, Walkie talkie product) and  
2. A label notice for user license exempted equipment (e.g. WWAN, WLAN, NFC, WLAN, Bluetooth, WiGig) 

The purpose of this labeling notice is to make user aware whether they will require to apply user license or not. 

The marking notice should be printed on user manual, shown on packaging, or provided as additional sheet put inside the packaging. The size is specified as 5 cm x 5 cm. 

For Notebook, Mobile phone, Tablet (WWAN/WLAN/BT/NFC/WiGig) products, will be applicable for license exempted label notice, see #2 below.
