SDPPI new regulation regarding Foreign test lab recognition for Telecommunication devices: Cellular Phones, Handheld Computers and Tablet Computers

On October 15, 2019, Indonesia's Telecommunication Authority (SDPPI) has release a decree/regulation No. 183/2019 on the recognition of foreign test reports for telecommunication devices, cellular phones, handheld computers and tablet computers. 

1. SDPPI has determined the list of recognized foreign test labs 
2. A test report issued by a recognized foreign test laboratory can be used to fulfil one of the requirements in a certification application 
3. Recognition is based on: 

A. Has the ability to telecommunication tools / equipment in accordance with technical requirements stipulated in Indonesia or equivalent

B. Has a test lab accreditation certificate based on ISO / IEC 17025; and, 

C. Is registered as a member of the the Global Certification Forum (GCF) and / or the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA).

This decree is valid for 6 months from the date of stipulation. This decree was signed on October 15, 2019.
