SDPPI new regulation regarding Foreign test lab recognition for Telecommunication devices Cellular Phone, Handheld Computer and Tablet Computer

On April 24th 2019, Indonesia Telecommunication Authority (SDPPI) has released a decree/regulation No. 138/2019 on recognizing Foreign test report for Telecommunication devices Cellular Phone, Handheld Computer and Tablet Computer. 

1. SDPPI has determine the list of recognized foreign test labs for Telecommunication devices Cellular Phone, Handheld Computer and Tablet Computer as stated in the attachment. 

2. A test report issued by a recognized foreign testing center can be used to fulfill one of the requirements in a certification application for telecommunications equipment Cellular Phone, Handheld Computer and Tablet Computer. 

3. Recognition of foreign test lab based on the following criteria: 
a. has the ability to test telecommunication tools / equipment in accordance with technical requirements stipulated in Indonesia or equivalent; 
b. has a test lab accreditation certificate based on ISO / IEC 17025; and 
c. registered as a member of the Global Certification Forum (GCF) and / or the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA). 

This decree is valid for 6 months from the date this is stipulated. This decree was signed on April 15, 2019. 

Attached is the list of recognized Foreign test lab. for Cellular Phone, Handheld Computer and Tablet Computer equipment.
