REMINDER: Canada: Notification of Quebec Statute on Stuffing, and Upholstered and Stuffed Articles

After January 1, 2020, all upholstered and stuffed articles with hidden filling material must have a Quebec label and registration. 

As a reminder, Ontario has repealed their TSSA regulation for stuffed articles and no longer requires manufacturers, importers, retailers, renovators and distributors with bedding, upholstered or stuffed articles to register and license their products as of July 1, 2019. 

Also, as of January 1, 2020, the province of Manitoba will no longer require labeling and registration for upholstered and stuffed articles.

Bureau Veritas will continue to monitor stuffed articles requirements and will provide updates as they become available.
