According to Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade) has issued the orders regarding the Quality Control orders for various types of footwear.
The official Gazette is issued and the regulation were set to implement from 1 July 2021.
On 30th June, 2021, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India announced about the India footwear Quality Control orders have recently been postponed.
The Footwear Quality Control Orders including:
• Footwear made from leather and other materials (Quality Control) Order will now go into effect on July 1, 2022.
• Footwear made from all-rubber and all Polymeric materials and its components (Quality Control) Order will now go into effect on July 1, 2022.
• Personal Protective Equipment Footwear (Quality Control) Order will now go into effect on January 1, 2022.
