• Water Proof / Water Resistance:  Remains relatively unaffected by water or resisting the ingress of water under specified conditions, may be used in wet environment or under water to specified depths

• Water Vapour Permeability / Breathability:  Items which have solid structure and are not electrical; Mass of water vapour transmitted through a unit area in a unit time under specified conditions of temperature and humidity

• Thermal Resistance:  A heat property and a measurement of a temperature difference by which an object or material resists a heat flow

• Ultraviolet Protection: Clothing specifically designed for sun protection and is produced from a fabric rated for its level of ultraviolet (UV) protection

• Air Permeability / Wind Proof / Wind Resistance:  The rate of air flow passing perpendicularly through a known area of fabric is adjusted to obtain a prescribed air pressure differential between the two fabric surfaces. From this rate of air flow, the air permeability of the fabric is determined
