Paraguay has issued a final decree to incorporate the Resolution MERCOSUR Group No. 62/18 “Mercosur Technical Regulations on Labeling of Textile Products (Repeal of GMC Resolution No. 33/07)” into the National Legal Order and partially repeals Decree No. 12085 of 23 April 2008.
Paraguay, as well as Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, are member States of the MERCOSUR Group. The MERCOSUR States have a Harmonized Technical Regulation on Labeling of textile products with the goal to facilitate free trade and to ensure clear labeling of textile products. MERCOSUR had approved the new labeling resolution in July 2019.
This new decree in Paraguay by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce means that Paraguay has now incorporated National Resolution of the MERCOSUR Common Market Group into Paraguay’s legal system.
