New California Proposition 65 Settlements

There have been a number of California Proposition 65 settlements recently finalized that involve diaper bags, shoe shine kits, salt and pepper shakers, plastic potted plants, inflatable ring cushions, vinyl/PVC golf ball retriever grips and golf bags, vinyl/PVC golf club head covers, vinyl/PVC garment bag shoulder strap pads, children play tents, thermal paper, laundry detergents, body wash and gels and liquid dish soaps. 

Diaper bags
• Requirement
o No more than 1000 ppm DINP
o Or provide specified warning label 

Shoe shine kit
• Requirement
o No more than 1000 ppm DEHP
o Or provide specified warning label

Salt and pepper shakers
• Requirement
o No more than 90 ppm total lead 
o No more than 1.0 µg lead in Ghost wipe
o Or provide specified warning label 

Plastic potted plants
• Requirement
o No more than 1000 ppm DINP
o Or provide specified warning label 

Inflatable ring cushions
• Requirement
o No more than 1000 ppm DINP
o Or provide specified warning label 

Vinyl/PVC golf ball retriever grips and golf bags
• Requirement
o No more than or equal to 1000 ppm of DEHP, DBP, BBP and DINP
o Or provide specified warning label 

Vinyl/PVC golf club head covers
• Requirement
o No more than 1000 ppm DEHP
o Warning label cannot be used as an alternative to meeting the requirement 

Vinyl/PVC garment bag shoulder strap pads and golf bags
• Requirement
o No more than 90 ppm total lead
o Warning label cannot be used as an alternative to meeting the requirement 

Children play tents
• Requirement
o No detectable level of TCEP, TDBPP and TDCPP 
o Or provide specified warning label 

Thermal Paper
• Requirement
o No more than or equal to 20 ppm of Bisphenol A
o Warning label cannot be used as an alternative to meeting the requirement

Laundry detergents
• Requirement
o No more than or equal to 25 ppm of 1,4-dioxane
o Warning label cannot be used as an alternative to meeting the requirement 

Body wash and gels and liquid dish soaps
• Requirement
o No detectable level of 1,4-dioxane
o Warning label cannot be used as an alternative to meeting the requirement
