Japan MIC Revises Article 2-1-19-3 Standard for 802.11a/n/ac/ax Compliance

On July 11, 2019, Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) released the Ordinance No. 27 “Ministry Ordinance for Revision of Part of Radio Law Enforcement Rules” and Notification No. 103 “Notification for Partial Amendment of Radio Equipment Regulations”.

The major changes for this revision are:

1. Modify the limit of some test items (Ex. Occupied BW, Burst length, Adjacent Channel Emitted Power) for IEEE 802.11ax product compliance
2. Extend W56 band from 5470~5725MHz to 5470~5730 MHz, add new Channel 144 (5720 MHz), Channel 142 (5710 MHz) and Channel 138 (5690 MHz).
3. Add six new radar patterns in W53 band (5250~5350 MHz)
