Highlights of China Textile and Apparel National and Industrial Standards Published / to be Published

Recently, both Standardization Administration and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China approved and published some national and industry standards, including GB/T 22701-2019, GB/T 23317-2019, FZ/T 81023-2019 and FZ/T 74007-2019; at the same time, GB/T 22702, GB/T 22704, GB/T 22705, GB/T 23330 and General Technical Specification for Professional Clothing have been submitted for approval. Bureau Veritas was invited for the reviewing process of these standards, and contributed valuable comments for development of Chinese textile and apparel industry.

The next revision of GB/T 14272 Down Garments has completed main content now, which has large changes in comparison to the current 2011 version. Some important performance requirements and test method changes have been discussed for the last few years. This standard is widely adopted hence the apparel industry is closely anticipating for these updates.

National Standardization Technical Committee for Apparel held promotion meeting for 9 national and industry standards, and particularly revision of GB/T 14272 Down Garments was discussed on Sep 19~20 at Suzhou, China. Senior domestic and standard committee members were invited as speakers, specialist from Bureau Veritas was also invited to speak on related topic in this event.
