EU REACH Annex XVII Amended

The European Commission has published Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/2096 to amend Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 REACH Annex XVII in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) on December 16, 2020. 

Major changes:
• Remove below restrictions from REACH Annex XVII (these restrictions are currently under Regulation (EU) 2019/1021, Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Regulation) 
     o Entry 22, Pentachlorophenol (PCP) and its salts and esters
     o Entry 67, Decabromodiphenyl ether (DecaBDE)
     o Entry 68, Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and its salts
• Remove references to CAS number and EC number in Entry 46a Nonylphenol
• Update harmonised test methods for Entry 43 azocolourants under Appendix 10
