Feb. 26 2020

On Tuesday February 25, 2020, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) staff published within the Federal Register a Direct Final Rule for 16 CFR Part 1224, Safety Standard for Portable Bed Rails. 16 CFR Part 1224 will now reference ASTM F2085-19, Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Portable Bed Rails as mandatory with no modifications.

The previous version of the 16 CFR 1224 referenced the ASTM F2085-12 with no modifications. The 2019 version of the ASTM F2085 includes editorial changes and a change to one piece of test equipment.
