Chile SUBTEL issued modification to Res. 1985/2017 (Short Range Devices)

On May 7, 2019 Chile SUBTEL has issued a modification to Resolution No.1985/2017 - Short Range Devices.
Some important changes are highlighted below:
- Homologation/type approval requirement for analog telephones devices is no longer required.
- Revised output power limit for WLAN frequency band 5150MHz – 5250MHz from EIRP 200mW, now is allowed up to EIRP 250mW (23.98 dBm).
- Adding frequency bands & output power limit for IoT (Internet of Things) application.
- Allowed bands for IoT are:
- Additional criteria for test reports used for Subtel type approval application. Test reports must have printed with at least two international accreditation in order to ensure the quality of the measurements. The accreditation logo must be printed in at least one page of every test report used for Chile applications.
