Press Release

Bureau Veritas Taiwan is Qualified for Testing of Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6™

Sep. 17 2019

As the only testing, inspection and certification partner which has integrated the full suite of capabilities for the electronics, automotive and wireless segments, Bureau Veritas Taiwan is pleased to announce the qualification for testing of Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6™ certification program. Wi-Fi Alliance announces to start certification of Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6™on September 16th, 2019.

Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6™ is used to identify devices that support 802.11ax technology and pass the required testing. Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6™ devices need to pass Wi-Fi 6 test, they also need to pass Wi-Fi CERTIFIED WPA3™, Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Agile Multiband™, Wi-Fi CERTIFIED n, and Wi-Fi CERTIFIED ac (for 5 GHz devices) tests for Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6™ certification.

As next generation of Wi-Fi connectivity, Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6™ provides more capacity, coverage and better performance to users in public venues such as stadiums, department stores and so on. It uses OFDMA to increase efficiency and has lower latency, MU-MIMO to allow more data transfer to multiple users at one time, 1024-QAM to increase throughput, TWT (Target Wake Time) to save more battery power for mobile devices and IOT devices. WPA3™ delivers more robust security through SAE (Simultaneous Authentication of Equals) which can avoid dictionary attacks. Devices will also provide several mechanisms to achieve dynamic network monitoring, intelligent steering and fast network transition based on Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Agile Multiband™.

Bureau Veritas Taiwan can provide complete testing service not only Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6™ but also other cutting edge of Wi-Fi technologies like Wi-Fi Enhanced Open™, Wi-Fi Easy Connect™, Wi-Fi EasyMesh™, and Passpoint®.
