Bureau Veritas, the leading Testing, Inspection and Certification provider, is pleased to announce that Travis Norton will be speaking at the 2020 ICPHSO International Virtual Symposium, taking place October 27-28, 2020.
The focus of this year's International Symposium is "Safely sustainable: exploring how the concept of sustainability is impacting and shaping consumer product safety." Sessions will look to educate and inform about the latest developments in sustainability from a product safety perspective, while tackling the product safety implications associated with this growing area of policy and law. Relevant topics related to COVID-19, new technologies, risk management, and compliance will also be included in this years discussion.
Travis Norton will speak on a panel discussion titled ‘IOT Policy Development in European and North America Markets’ along with representatives from Americas Global Cyber Alliance, European Commission and NIST.
Travis Norton has been with Bureau Veritas for more than 20 years. As Director of Global Technical Services in the Americas region, he leads and manages a technical consultation team. He has worked on-site as a technical consultant for a retailer, developing product test and inspection requirements. Before that, he was the Director of Technical Services for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to that, Travis lived in Hong Kong and worked in Global Project Management, Technical & Engineering Services and Laboratory Operations.
