Bureau Veritas to Speak and Sponsor the AHFA Regulatory Summit

Buffalo, New York, US, September 6, 2019 – Bureau Veritas, the global leading Testing, Inspection and Certification provider, is pleased to be participating in the upcoming AHFA Regulatory Summit being held at Guilford Technical Community College in Colfax, North Carolina on October 2 - 3. 

The Regulatory Summit will explore topics such as anticipating product misuse, understanding consumer expectations for product safety and planning for new levels of required product testing. Among the many presenters is Peter Feldman, the newest commissioner at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. 

Bureau Veritas’ Rick Rosati, Vice President, Governmental Affairs & Industry Standards and Chair of the ASTM Furniture Safety Subcommittee F15.42, will speak on The Future of Voluntary ‘Consensus’ Standards.   

The American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA) is the voice of the residential furniture industry, representing companies large and small, public and private, domestic and import. Members manage a global supply chain that includes factories in 31 states and three foreign countries, providing more than $11 billion in wholesale shipments of home furnishings products every year for U.S. households.

Bureau Veritas is a member of the AHFA and Tim Mattulke, Vice President of Technical Services and Consultancy, was recently named to the AHFA board of directors, with a term starting in December. Tim will be at the Summit as well, available to discuss Bureau Veritas’ True Air  VOC verification certification program, as well as a wide variety of furniture related testing, including ISTA package, chemical, BIFMA, fabric and textile, and performance.
