Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services and Feng Dong New City Management Committee sign Strategic Cooperation Framework

On June 5, 2020, Jiang Wei, Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services’ Vice President of Government Affairs Greater China Region, met with Liu Zheng, member of the Party Committee of Xi Xian New District and signed a strategic cooperation framework.

One of the main goals was to support the advancement of the many innovative enterprises in North West China by helping to improve the quality of consumer and technology products.

The cooperation is intended to actively support the strategic objectives for the Feng Dong New City development initiative, including:
• Building key resources for science and technology reform
• Setting up research and development / service clusters

During the meeting, Jiang Wei emphasized that Feng Dong New City has a strong Testing, Inspection & Certification industry foundation; has built and acquired a strong capability in scientific and technological innovation and benefits from a rich pool of talented human resources. Bureau Veritas stated they were looking forward to a long and beneficial co-operation with Feng Dong New City.

Liu Zheng agreed and hoped that Bureau Veritas will strengthen its presence to better support the northwest of China, guiding enterprises to comply with national standards, whilst improving product quality.
