Bureau Veritas announces Respirator / Fabric Mask Accreditation for its Shanghai Laboratory
In November 2020, Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services’ Shanghai testing textile laboratory has been accredited by CNAS & CMA for face mask testing.
The new accreditation enables face mask buyers and suppliers worldwide to test respirators and fabric masks, including full China scope, in the one location.
China’s exports of face masks to countries such as USA, Japan, UK, Germany and France have understandably significantly increased this year, driving an urgent need for trusted full service laboratories. With this latest development, Shanghai is the first full service respirator mask lab in Bureau Veritas' network covering China and EU standards. In addition to this capability, Shanghai is also one of 10+ Bureau Veritas laboratories worldwide who can test fabric masks against regulatory and performance requirements. In addition, Bureau Veritas labs provide testing services for other medical personal protective equipment such as gowns, goggles and gloves in support of healthcare workers worldwide.
