Bureau Veritas is pleased to announce 7layers in Germany has been authorized by the ioXt Alliance, the global standard for loT security, as one of the exclusive test labs to offer third-party testing to verify the compliance of IoT devices.
The ioXt Alliance was created to provide verifiable security standards through an industry-led, multi-stakeholder process. The ioXt Certification Program tests a product’s compliance against the ioXt security standard.
As one of the exclusive labs of the ioXt Alliance, Bureau Veritas’ 7layers can perform all testing required for devices to be certified by the Alliance and to bear the ioXt Certification Mark. The testing is based on the latest version of the Security Pledge, the Security Profile and the Security Test Plan as defined by the certification program of the ioXt Alliance.
End-users, retailers and ecosystem partners will benefit from the domain knowledge and impartiality of Bureau Veritas’ 7layers to create trust and confidence in the baseline cybersecurity of the IoT device.
In addition to performing ioXt compliance testing, Bureau Veritas’ 7layers is also a Contributor Member of the ioXt Alliance. “Participation in the ioXt Alliance compliance work groups allows us to help optimize the development and implementation of ioXt test plans.” said Michael Beine, Manager of Wireless IoT Testing and Business Development for Bureau Veritas’ 7layers.
