Bureau Veritas has supported the mobility industry for many years with testing, certification and type approval handling services for wireless components and applications. More recently we have also been involved in connected-car projects, due to the expanding deployment of wireless connectivity in the mobility sector. As such, Bureau Veritas is not only supporting the development and market access processes of automotive devices, modules and applications, but also the integration, validation and maintenance of V2X services within the mobility ecosystem.
New Automotive Test Laboratory in Detroit, USA
Our Detroit Automotive test lab is the latest addition to Bureau Veritas’ New Mobility network supporting the dynamic growing New Mobility / Connected Car segment. It has obtained ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation by the A2LA (American Association for Laboratory). The 23,000 sq. ft. lab provides automotive OEMs and Tier 1 & 2 suppliers with a broad range of EMC, Radio Frequency and V2X testing in accordance with international standards wireless connectivity.

We are the 1st OmniAir Authorized Test Laboratory (OATL) for connected vehicles supports the testing and certification of OBUs and RSUs to the OmniAir® Connected Vehicle certification program. As a selected strategic partner of US Department of Transportation (USDOT), we develop the Connected Vehicle Next Stage Certification Environment since 2015. Backed by our number of labs located in the Americas, we provide EMC, regulatory, environmental and conformance testing services creating a simple path towards global market access. |
